Our Story

Adam Allen the owner & operator of Kingdom Timber began his career in the forests of Vermont at a young age. Being born into the industry working to the point of operating his own quality logging operation was a steady goal. Throughout his younger years he stayed in the woods working for other companies, absorbing all the information that he could. This interest led him to taking his love of the woods one step farther, attending Paul Smith’s College in the heart of New York’s Adirondack Park, where he obtained a bachelor’s in forestry operations. While pursuing his education Adam founded Kingdom Timber LLC. and began harvesting his first jobs back home in Vermont while attending college full time.

Organized in 2014 Kingdom Timber was founded with the premises and desire to offer Vermont landowners, the highest quality professional forestry and timber harvesting services in the area. All the while protecting Vermont’s amazing natural resources we love through proper and ethical management activities.

In order to the best logger, he could Adam continued to advance his professionalism in the field. Adam has been trained and is well versed in the Game of Logging (GOL) education levels, which trains loggers in accurate felling techniques, job layout, Acceptable Management Practices, and business operation. After accomplishing this Adam became Logger Education to Advance Professionalism (LEAP) certified which is a third-party accreditation program confirming that logging contractors are indeed preforming sound forest management activities and adhering to all AMP statutes. It also, requires all contractors to continue their education yearly, by collecting credits to maintain accreditation through classes offered by LEAP.

As time went on Adam had a desire to expand the business. In 2016, Kingdom Timber launched a new excavation sister company. Growing up Adams father was involved in the construction world so it was a natural progression. Soon, much of the summers were occupied doing construction and logging in the winters which complemented the company well. In 2020, David Allen retired from his career in the construction business and joined the Kingdom Timber Team, bringing with him +35 years of experience in the field.

Amber Fecteau

“We have 46 acres with a timber stand that has some steep inclines and ledge that was overgrown and really inaccessible. My husband wanted to establish a trail that would allow him to get to the top of the mountain easily for hunting and I wanted horseback riding trail. Kingdom Timber, Adam Allen, came and walked the property twice with me and Kate’s our the trail network. Quickly provided us with a detailed and professional estimate. He arrived to do the job even earlier than he proposed which was a bonus and he performed the work quickly and meticulously. We were so impressed with his work ethic, forestry knowledge and appreciation for the land, that we will be having him return in the Spring for our other projects.”
